The Sedan International Airport (also known as SIA) was the main and only, tough imposing, airport built by Nyxboy in the world of Sedan. It served the city of Sedan and theoretically all the southeastern regions of Nuwa Lueza island). It is the main hub for Pawa Airlines, the main airline carrier of the United Islands.
The construction of the SIA's terminal that started in April 2007 and that is still under construction in 2010 is one of the two JVP building project priorities alongside with the road network that have caused the world's opening to be dalayed. The airport is used to welcome the users visiting the city since it is located on a remote archipelago. SIA has welcomed its first users on December 1, 2010 when the world has opened for the first time for a one week visit event and the installations have been in service since. Several basic works on the airport have been rushed to be completed to allow the site to be operational.
Design
Terrain
The terrain allowed to the airport that includes the terminals and the runway takes 615cells or 61, 500m2 of the usable area of the world. This portion added of the other accommodations like a parking lot, a car rental and a metro station will occupy approximately 5% of the city territory making it from far the largest building complex in Sedan. The airport is mainly being built on the Pasawulu Peninsula located in the southeast part of Sedan. The peninsula has been extended on its south end in 2006 to make more space for the runways. However, the peninsula has been extended for a second time in February 2011 to move the runways surface outside the city's east boundaries in order to allow more space for the SIA installations and clear limited usable land space. This land reclamation extension is significant as such that it almost doubled the Peninsula's surface size.
Installations
The current installations are composed of The Main Terminal A, The International Terminal B and sections for the security and the UIBI customs. Some other sections that have not been built yet include such as a metro station, a 2-level parking lot and a car rental.
The International Terminal B
The International Terminal B currently has 4 gates. It is planned that if it would become necessary that each gate could serve more than a single destination.
Runways
Runways 18 and 36
The current runways of SIA are runway 18 and 36 sharing the same paved terrain. They have been built in 2006 on the Pasawulu Peninsula. Land reclamation has been added to extend the peninsula towards south in order to allow the runways a maximum possible length. The runways are paved with concrete and currently occupy a length of 55 cells. They started to be operational in 2009 for flight testing exclusively. It is only in November 2010, during world's first opening, that the runways have been used for visitors for the first time.
Since 2006, for most of the time, only the runway 18 has been used has most landing until now have been proceeded from north towards south. The runway 36 has almost never been used except for some landing test that have occurred during the first years in service for testing.
Runway 2 and 20
Projects to build a new runway on a complete land reclamation towards east were in progress. These new runways are identified as Runway 2 and 20. These projects essentially focus on the ideas of "exluding" the runways from usable land as it is considered as a zone of low to almost zero object necessity that currently occupies a signicant amount of space and also because the current runways are considered to be too short and not distant enough from the surrounding buildings. This would allow more space for landing and for the airport installations. As of March 2011 landing test were already in process.
Airlines and Destinations
Pawa Airlines is currently the only airline carrier operating and being headquartered at the SIA. The company currently has 5 transoceanic planes on the terrain, all based on a same airbus model.
Pawa Airlines already offers a link between the SIA and the Neophyx International Airport in Neophyx in the world of America to enforce the link between the two cities founded by Nyxboy.

Ground transportation
Roads and Freeways
SIA can be reached using the Fedroad 1 freeway, the NL20-City Bypass freeway via the Sedan International Airport Connector - state route 117, and the Alamanda Blvd.
Bus
There is currently a bus shuttle, line X5, operated by Metroway, that offers a direct link between the airport and the Central District of Sedan.
Metro Rail
A metro station is planned to be built at the airport in a near future included in the Sedan's future metro network project.
Taxi
A stand of taxi movers is available at the arrival exit that visitors can borrow for a single ride to go wherever they want in the city and around.
Car Rental
A car rental, operated by a fictional private company, is also planned to be built near the airport.
Customs and Security
The arrivals are controlled by the U.I.B.A (United Islands Borders Authority) at the international terminal.
