Maki is a prominent citizen of the Active Worlds Universe who took over AWNews from Goober King after he stepped down in 2003. Maki later went on to create Support AW -- a web resource encouraged to increase immigration to the main universe. The organization led events such as Annual Invite Day and the Support AW Awards.
Maki currently organizes the monthly Active Worlds Newsletter.
