WikiProject: Bots is a collaboration designed to improve the quality of Bot-related material on the ActiveWiki. This WikiProject covers any topic that is directly related to Bots: Bots, the SDK, programming languages, programmers, how bots are used in the universe, etc. This WikiProject was created as a collaboration on January 14, 2008.

Discussion regarding this WikiProject and the logistics of achieving our goals should be directed to the talk page.

Goals

  • Bring Bots to the standards of a good article on Wikipedia. The Bots page should accurately describe and relate to the user that a Bot is a program that can be used within the universe, have its own instance, and have images to reflect that.
  • Satisfy all or most of the red links regarding Bots: A good place to start would be with the bots that are mentioned in the wiki. A lot of bot links have placeholder stub tags in them, so they are essentially empty articles.
  • Greatly expand articles on the Utilities page.
  • Upload relevant and quality screenshots of Bots in-world or GUIs to the ActiveWiki to supplement articles wherever possible.
  • Standardizing content in Bot related articles. Creating well written, relevant, and detailed articles should be our focus.


How to help

  • We need:
    • Templates. WikiProjects need a standard template that can be used for WikiProject pages to better organize the project. Other templates you can think of that would be helpful to the project are also welcome.
    • Screenshots. We need some relevant screenshots on the main Bots article that are of decent quality. These can be of the GUI of a program, or perhaps a well-known bot within the universe.
    • Writers. Never in short supply, we need writers to actually write the pages! ;)
