VirGrav was a community within Active Worlds. It started in November 2010 as an AWI-sponsored world. Building rights were restricted to referral.
History
Originally, the world was going to be named VelGrav, as in "Velocity Gravity", but when registering the domain, Cloggedone accidently typed "virgrav-studios" instead of "velgrav-studios". So now, it stands for "Virtual Gravity".
