The Ambient command sets the ambient component of the current surface lighting properties.

Usage

    Ambient value

Description

This command sets the ambient component of the current surface lighting properties. The ambient component specifies how much the world's ambient light source "shines" on polygons. The ambient light source shines equally on all polygons in all directions.

Arguments

value can be in the range of 0.0 to 1.0

The higher the value the more light is reflected off the surface.

Example

Ambient .5

This will illuminate the texture by half the amount of the ambient world light.
