2010 Cy Awards
The 2010 Cy Awards took place on November 13, 2010. The Cy Awards are held annually and are decided through community voting for the best entry in a number of specific topics. The event was MC'd by Lady Teal and roughly 120 users were in attendance.
The Event
Schedule
The Cy Awards is a series of events spanning over several weeks, and culminating in the Cy Awards Ceremony. Below is a schedule of the major events.
- Nominations open Oct 15, 2010 and close October 25, 2010.
- Voting began November 1, 2010 and was to end November 8, 2010, but was extended several days.
- The Cy Ball was held on November 6, 2010 10 PM VRT.
- The Cy Ceremony was held on November 13, 2010 at 10 PM VRT.
2010 Categories
The categories for the 2010 Cy Awards were slightly modified from the 2009 Cy Awards list. Avatars and Media Presentation were removed as categories and Best Presentation was added.
