Improvement: Remove time-limit lock on post editing (Gnu64)

At the moment, posts and topics are editable by the original poster, but only after a certain time period (said to be 1 hour). This should be removed so posts can be refreshed and updated. The reasons for the limit stem from the potential abuse it can bring, where one may 'wipe' posts to remove evidence during an argument/flame war if the original post was harassment or to otherwise flip-flop on debates. However, the counter-argument for this issues are:

  • The posts signal when they have been edited if they have been and as a close community, we can easily tell if the edit was malicious from that person's past history.
  • Nobody would be stupid enough to change their opinion during a debate, especially if everyone keeps to the habit of quoting the original post to preserve it from malicious editing.

If this is still a major concern, then the limit should at least be removed for a thread, ie. the first post of a thread, which will be very useful for threads which are made for events, lists or otherwise, which need to be constantly updated rather than the original poster having to keep replying to the thread when updates occur, which can be lost within the thread and unnoticed.
