The project's public codename was VGL, which, although kept private until now, stands for Virtual Groom Lake. In essence, VGL was an AWTeen version of Area 51. Referred to Area 41 (or Area 4.1) by the team members, many of the team would try new things here and attempt to push the limits of the Activeworlds browser. Several private RPGs were held here as well, usually involving five or six of the team members. The last RPG would occur before the chaos with AWTeen's former government, and would reveal the location of the large scale project.
