History

DAAP was first concieved by Professor Derrick Woodham of the University of Cincinnati in 1996. Since its inception, the world has been used as an "environment to test models of sculpture and other three dimensional projects by faculty, students, and guest artists." The world has been used as a venue to teach classes such as 'Fine Arts Media Fundamentals, Modeling for 3 Dimensional Networking, and Computer Sculpture.' It is also used to present student projects.

The world participates in a biennial event known as Interscuplt that celebrates sculpture.
