AW_WORLD_MINIMUM_VISIBILITY

Type

Integer

Description

Minimum visible range of visitors.

Notes

The Active Worlds Browser will always display objects at least this far away in the world regardless of its settings (Options/Settings/Performance/Visibility). This value should only be raised above 40 meters if necessary, since higher visibility often mean lower frame rates. If it has been set too high then visitors might find the world to be frustratingly slow.

The visible range is the radius of a circle that is centered on the current cell of an avatar. This means that objects will only appear or disappear when the avatar is moving from one cell to another. Only objects in cells where the distance between the center of this circle and the center of the cell will be visible.

Range

Minimum:30 meters (3 cells)
Maximum:200 meters (20 cells)
Default:30 meters (3 cells)

Note that the browser only allows setting "Minimum Visibility" in 10 meter increments.
