Version

4.1

The link command allows an object to be "attached" to a mover with the specified name. A successful attachment is only possible if the target mover has "Linking Enabled" checked and is set the specified name.

Usage

link name

name

The name of a mover to link the object to, within 200 meter range. Only

Notes

  • Objects can only be attached to movers by the same owner.
  • Mover names must be unique within the 200 meter area of mover visibility, can only start with an alphabetical letter and can only contain alphanumeric or underscore characters.
  • All new created or copied mover, as well as movers loaded from an AWG (local) file have "Linking Enabled" unchecked by default to avoid automatic linking and allows to adjust detail setting before using them.
  • It is good practice, and helps to avoid confusion, to uncheckmark "Linking Enabled" with the parent mover object before modifying a linked child object.

Examples

create link mymover1

Links the object to a mover called mymover1.
