The Secretary of State for the Home Department, commonly known as the Home Secretary, is the minister in charge of the Home Office of the Commonwealth of Palmshire, and one of the state's four Great Offices of State. The Home Secretary is responsible for internal affairs within Palmshire, and for immigration and citizenship for the whole of the Commonwealth of Palmshire. The remit of the ministry also includes policing and matters of national security. The current Home Secretary is Rt Hon Lord Metaville appointed on 26 June 2011 as part of Arcadia Ministry.
The Home Secretary is responsible for appointing officials within his/her own department who reports to him/her.
