A cell is a ten meter by ten meter section of a world. They are the primary unit of measurement for worlds and represent the parts that the browser loads. Cells have a virtually infinite height; objects far above ground are considered part of the cell alongside those below. Cells are also how the browser limits visibility.

Cell limit

There is a limit on the amount of data a cell can contain. This limitation is used to prevent builders overcrowding an area. World caretakers can change the limit via the world features dialog. These are the available options and their corresponding limits:

Name Approximate amount of objects Pre-3.6 bytes limit 4.1+ bytes limit
Normal 45 1500 1650
Large 75 2500 2750
Huge 120 3500 4400
Mega 150 5000 5500
Ultra 300 N/A 11000
