These help files can help you learn about many of the things you can do with Active Worlds. You'll learn how to enter the Active Worlds universe, how to move and teleport, how to change your view, how to build, how to talk to other users, and how you can use a web browser to view homepages and other HTML documents. You'll also get information on sound and music and other actions that you can assign to Active Worlds objects.

Welcome To Active Worlds!

The Active Worlds Browser is the software to visit Active Worlds virtual environments. Within Active Worlds, are worlds, which are places that you inhabit along with other users who are logged in to the at the same time as. You can communicate with other users, and you can see their avatars. Building, or "level editing" is integrated into the browser.

Getting Started

  • If you haven't started the Active Worlds software yet and need instructions, click here.

Register Your Citizenship

To begin your Active Worlds subscription, simply enter Active Worlds as a tourist as you normally would, and then click on the Register Now! button in the toolbar. Fill out all of the fields in the dialog box that appears, including the information about your credit card, and press OK. Registration can sometimes take a couple of minutes, so please be patient while your charge is being processed.
