Add css from wikimedia to style templates
I posted this suggestion a while ago on the talk page of Template:World where I suggested the idea of including infobox headers with pictograms in the active wiki like the infoboxes v2 used on the french wikipedia as other languages wikis as well. There are good examples here; http://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Projet:Infobox/V2. I have tried to find out myself many times for my own templates until I found out that a css file is needed. Until now I havn't found any alternatives that could mimic this without being too messy except the banners I created mylsefl, but still as images not backgound. There are also many other styles from wikipedia-wikimedia I've never been able to apply here :( I'm not sure if I could create my own style page but even this was the case I don't think it could go beyond the main parameters of the Activewiki, and I think it would be a cleaner way to simply update the main css. I'd really love to use these features, at least on my own pages. --Buga 13:42, 30 August 2011 (EDT)
From what I've read so far I think you just need to be an administrator of a wiki to copy n paste a css on a wiki site from the wikimedia. But I don't know how it works on that level since Ive only used the wiki as a regular user... But I don't think it would be too complicated to do.
If I'm right all the scripts needed are there: http://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/MediaWiki:Common.css I suppose we only need the section for infobox v2 on the page.

Per the Special:UncategorizedPages, there's handful of uncategorized pages but I'm not sure which categories some of these pages should go into. Need your and GSK's opinion on these pages. Thanks. --Legion 23:36, 3 May 2011 (EDT)
Dealing with spambot
I'm getting sick and tired of spambots to the point I'm willing to volunteer as administrator or moderator, whatever that be, (was not interested to be one before) to take care of 'em. What can I do there? Do I contact Tom or anything? --Legion 17:26, 23 April 2011 (EDT)
Problems with blocking
I'm trying to block spambots but I get this error like "There is no user by the name "Bensxan". Check your spelling." for suspected spambot and same error happened for attempts to block four other confirmed spambots. What's up? --Legion 15:54, 4 May 2011 (EDT)
How powerful be ye?
Do you have the power to change my username on this Wiki from Legolas to griffinpage? :D --Legolas 21:38, 26 July 2010 (EDT)
A new one is up that's slightly smaller. Please keep the others for reference. Club Alpha 13:06, 30 April 2010 (EDT)
Requests to delete articles pertaining to Rockford made by Angel of Death
I would like to request that the articles made by Angel of Death about the state and city of Rockford and their war with it be deleted. I would like them to respect my refusal to participate in their ridiculous war stuff. I never asked to be part of their militaristic culture. If you allow them to continue such thing, I will withdraw from Active Wiki and will request deletion for all of my articles pertaining to Rockford or otherwise I will blank them out. I won't tolerate their slandering of me as showing I willingly participate in their ridiculous war games. Thanks. --Legion 18:43, 11 April 2010 (EDT)
About those edits by Angel of Death
Frankly, I think all of those recent edits by Angel of Death is getting out of hand. Personally, I would rather have it seen to that all of those articles created by him/her/whatever be exterminated. But seriously, has attention been brought to this for Tom yet? They're kind of getting out of hand, after all. I think this guy ought to be banned for being a troll here. --Legion 22:23, 1 April 2010 (EDT)
Duplicate or otherwise no longer relevant categories need to be deleted
Hey, Anthony, the following categories need to be deleted except for Category:ActiveWiki (the topmost category, which is always uncategorized I believe, for the ActiveWiki) listed at Special:Uncategorizedcategories thanks --Legion 09:15, 24 February 2010 (EST)
I'm sooo bored.?
Uh, Okay o_O I honestly don't know much, as I usually edit EncyclopediaDramatica
--Curtis 17:08, 6 September 2009 (EDT)
LOL Honestly I hit "random page" and keep hitting it until I see something that isn't sdk related. --Curtis 14:39, 18 November 2009 (EST)
PLEASE CONTACT ME SGEO!!!!!! I'm in charge of a rebirth project of Mutation!!! email@example.com
Hi Hyper Anthony. Remember me? Anyways, if you want me to take screenshots of Mutation, just name a location, and I can take the pic. Note that some places may be imperfect, because either the models or the property isn't in my cache. I can also give you the cache files + everything else needed to revisit Mutation yourself, if you want. --Sgeo 20:04, 31 October 2009 (EDT)
Sure! (Ugh, it feels awkward replying like this, it's been a while since I've talked to people on a wiki) --Sgeo 14:19, 1 November 2009 (EST)
Annnntthooonyyyy!!!!!! --Syntax 16:14, 5 October 2009 (EDT)
Not sure how to do this..
Uh, Okay o_O I honestly don't know much, as I usually edit EncyclopediaDramatica Btw, I wanted to save that rapier pic. Its niiiice. and he made it so.. *shrug* --Curtis 17:08, 6 September 2009 (EDT)
No problem. At least there wasn't a ton like last time. He also vandalized my forums saying how he has a new TV network, a "next-gen" one. Anyhow, thanks for permabanning him. I did an IP-Deny on my server so he won't be back there for a while. --GSK 23:37, 27 January 2008 (EST)
Hi Hyper Anthony,
Since you're presenting at the Activeworlds Technology Celebration, I was wondering if it would be possible for you to add a link to the celebration on the Main Page. provides a small JPEG image that can be used for such advertising. I think that advertising this event to increase attendance will result in a stronger community. It will also result in more people hearing about how to contribute to the ActiveWiki, since you'll be talking about it there.
Thanks for your consideration,

Hi, you probably dont remember me, but im sirina from AW/Mutation.
what ever happened to those good ol days? after mutation, everyone just disapeared...i found it rather sad, seeing as i still remember that place as one of the best places ive been, and also, one of the only places that accepted me so warmly, even though i was just a lowly tourist. i really miss all the tournaments, and the music. and i being one of the only girls to actually chat, instead of fight *giggles*
lots of love sirina
I was in there for quite a while last night; the worlds list seemed almost empty. Not to mention being stuck in 3.6...--GSK 10 October 2007
That doesn't mean its dead. Not many people use it anymore, but to call it dead is an opinion; which isn't supported on wikis. Mid-Rift world, which is ran by the AD&DRPG people (who are still active btw) is running there and the bot is alive, I see players in there occasionally, as well as other private worlds such as @adam.
Isn't it supposed to be "its" instead of "it's" in situation where you put that before a noun? For example, its mayor instead of it's mayor? I may need a clarification. I must have gotten English grammar bit wrong myself since school days without knowing it. >.< --Legion 19:39, 11 December 2006 (EST) --Brant 10:41, 12 February 2008 (EST)
In English Grammar, "it's" is a shorter version of "It Is." If it can't be used as "it is" then use "its." --Hyper Anthony 19:43, 11 December 2006 (EST)
I don't understand how it's mayor sounds right to me. I must be only one that think it doesn't make sense in a way. I'm of course referring to Oakdale entry. --Legion 19:46, 11 December 2006 (EST)
I think you're looking at it wrong, there is no apostrophe in that sentence. It should be correct as Its mayor is Jaguar Hahn. If the sentence said It's mayor is Jaguar Hahn, its literal meaning would be It is mayor is Jaguar Hahn, which doesn't make any sense at all. --Hyper Anthony 19:53, 11 December 2006 (EST)
Uh, actually, I corrected your typo it's as its in that entry. See http://wiki.activeworlds.com/index.php?title=Oakdale&oldid=2217 for what I'm referring. The thing is, this isn't the only instance I have seen from you. I believe there are other articles with that typo. Sorry if I'm confusing or whatever. I was only confused because of that many instances, not just merely single instance there. --Legion 20:00, 11 December 2006 (EST)
In that case, thanks for bringing it to my attention. I don't catch grammatical errors as often as spelling mistakes, but I'm aware of how to do it right. ;)
lol sure no problem, my friend. --Legion 20:16, 11 December 2006 (EST)
Difficulty with importing templates from Wikipedia
As recent changes will show, I've tried to import succession box template like this (working example can be found in pages like this page near the bottom) but had no luck. There was too many layers of subtemplates attached to that template in Wikipedia so had no clue which one works and which one is missing. So I gave up and deleted template pages I made to avoid leaving unused templates behind. --Legion 18:46, 6 May 2011 (EDT)
