Per your attempts at Category: Active Worlds Shows, I want to inform you that you cannot redirect a category without that (redirected from Category: Active Worlds Shows) text showing up immediately below that of title Category:Active Worlds shows at the top at all. It's unavoidable and rather annoying feature of redirect mechanism. I've already tried that category redirect elsewhere, especially in Grand Theft Wiki (previously Grand Theft Auto Wiki prior to its merger with Grand Theft Wiki) where I was (and apparently still is when I'm not supposed to be anymore...o_O) an administrator there. It just didn't work out.
That's why I was forced to tag that category for deletion instead. Just so you know now. --Legion 17:49, 1 January 2008 (EST)
- But why is that a problem ?_? Just ignore it :P --Gnu32 21:23, 1 January 2008 (EST)
- But I have pet peeve with that crap showing up anytime I bookmarked a page or category only to later find out it's redirected with that little text showing up. Worse, it may also show up in saved version of them on hard disk... and that saving page will show page's name different from page's name that it was intended to redirect to. So you have here a discrepancy in naming issues between that of article title and the page's file name! But again, that make me a clever definition of a nit-picker. Bah humbug, indeed! ;) --Legion 21:44, 1 January 2008 (EST)
- Guh. Rate silly nit-picker you. Ah well. Enjoy your award. --Gnu32 10:34, 2 January 2008 (EST)
I'm not sure if you're heard of the upcoming Activeworlds Technology Celebration, but an AW citizen recommended you to me as being very knowledgable about the SDK and this wiki. I was wondering if you could review the information about the event and consider becoming a presenter.
Presenters will demonstrate bots and other Activeworlds software that is interesting or unusual. I am also looking for someone to speak about this wiki and how it can be used for the betterment of Activeworlds. You obviously know a lot about AW, and presenting would be a great opportunity to get some publicity for your creations and to meet new people. Presentations should be around ten minutes long or so.
It would be great if you could participate. I look forward to hearing whether you're interested in a private forum message or a telegram.
Thanks - I have already contacted Syntax, and I'll contact Hyper Anthony today to see if either one is interested in talking about the wiki. As to the reasons you wouldn't disclose, I hope they don't have anything to do with the time limits or the format of the presentation, because those can be talked about if they're what's holding you back. If, on the other hand, they are personal issues, then that's another matter and I understand.
Anyway, thanks for the quick reply - nice work with supporting the wiki.
